In South Africa we use an alphabetic chart to determine the finger size from G- Z+
We are able to determine the Alphabetic size from that of the European or American sizing system.
Ways of determining the ring size:
The best and most accurate way is to pop into a jewellery store with your loved one and have it measured. The fit should feel secure and comfortable and take into consideration the temperature on these days as it can effect the size
You can order one of our ring sizers for R40. This sizer has the measurements for which you can read the size of the finger
If you are wanting it to be a surprise and do not want your loved one to know then you can try a few ways: if they are a heavy sleeper you can slip one of our ring sizers onto the finger while they are sleeping ; ask a close friend or relative ; get a ring that they wear on the left or right ring finger(please let us know which finger you are measuring in this way as the dominant hand is usually slightly bigger), and place it on a ruler and snap a photo or make a note of the mm on the inside of the ring, from one side to the other. This method will not work with a ring that they wear on any of their other fingers as these are always bigger. You can also trace a circle of the inside of the circumference of the ring ; put it on one of your fingers and take note of where it sits(this is not the most accurate)
We recommend always going one size larger as it is always easier to size it down when necessary.
If upon purchase, the ring is needed to be adjusted in size, there will be no extra charge for up to 3 sizes larger.
An additional charge will be incurred for anything over and above this
